This is more than probably the same source as described by justin cook : "Sound quality and clarity are both very good". Tape was running too fast, i pitched it correct with my sony deck (ernesto aka april4th will know what it means...).

Great show (maybe better than the day before?), nice versions of many songs, lots of snippets, nice sound and conditions for a 25 years old years recording. A fade out was inserted on tape at then end of side 1 (end of sunday bloody sunday), i then added a fade in at the beginning of second side (no music lost).

Jimi Hendrix and Sonny and Cher get a shoutout from Bono in this show.
New Year's Day is introduced as two hearts beat as one. (apparently
Bono lost track of the setlist). another sold out U2 show in Boston.
it was a good show despite a few odd moments, plenty of energy and even
some Bono Jackson. hey why not? at this time U2 and Michael Jackson were
the hottest names in rock and pop music (along with Hall and Oates).
this appears to be the full show. all the songs are complete.
most of the encore applause was edited out of the source tape.
just before "I fall down", Bono says "it's great to be back in N.Y." and
is answered with a resounding chorus of boos. (the only round of boos
in this show.) then he follows that by saying "this is where we live,
Boston." that gets the cheering going again. Two sold out shows at the
Orpheum this time, after just one in late 1981.
the U2 mania here was irrreversible by this point and out of control.
next time it was 3 shows at the Worcester Centrum. (and Boston Garden)

Well I haven't heard the original, so I can't really compare, but this is probably close to Achtung Adelaide in quality. The drums sound great, just amazing in "Streets." Sound quality is very steady, great mix. Not a broadcast by any means, but one of the better soundboards I've heard. Also, each track seems to have been recorded individually, so you can tell where they begin and end. There aren't clicks or gaps or anything like that, but it doesn't flow perfectly between tracks, just like Wembley Nights 3&4. There do seem to be a few edits in the show also, like the intermission intro, maybe a few other small things. Of special note this was the only time "Bad" and "Sunday Bloody Sunday" were both played in one show. This being the early days of the OB Tour, it was probably just after this that they settled on doing one or the other.

This is a new source that I recorded and have not distributed except for
a few copies made shortly after the show. Excellent sound except for
Zoo Station through Mysterious Ways. On the tape you can here where the
equipment was bumped by a fat chick who coudn't deal with the crowd.
Unfortunately the collision loosened a cable on the left channel. For
those songs the left channel contains static that ranges from minor to
unlistenable. Once fixed the rest of the show is very nice.

Recorded in the center, in front of the soundboard, just to the left of
walkway stage into the crowd.

This is the first time ever, this bootleg is released. We have been searching for this from the minute the show ended, 9 years ago! In 2005, we found out it actually exists, via the U2 Fan Club Hellas, that allowed Greek U2 fans to come in touch! It was sent to me from JIMAKOS, the man who had it on tape, a straight copy off the minidisc. Me, and my friend, Elias Koutelas, sound tech, edited and mixed it, and the results are great!!!
